San Valentin/St Valentine's Day and friendship

As usual our dream team continues to dream. Christene brought us a lasagna that was soft and warm. Just the characteristics of this group of professionals who have worked together for several years in the care of patients.

We shared anecdotes from previous years and ate and laughed together for about 45 minutes.

The dream team ........Still together after so many years.

Last day to vote at the PRPS

Today is the last day to vote for a new board of directors of the Puerto Rico Psychiatric association, a chapter of the American Psychiatric Association.

Hopefully the slate of candidates will empower and energize over 200 psychiatrists in Puerto Rico to look forward to providing community services during the next 2 year tenure.

Last report from the president, Dr. Canepa is that mail was flowing in rapidly last week.

Do not read this

I thought that to ensure somebody will read what I write, I should give this a title that will prohibit reading it.

Well. Now the Pope is ill again. In Puerto Rico we are still playing politics as always. The most serious undertaking recently in mental health in this island is the selection of a probable relative of mine Dr. Jose Luis Galarza Arbona as Administrator of the Mental Health and Anti Addiction Services Administration, ASSMCA.
Hope he will do well. I think he will.

He has many years of experience as an administrator in mental health care, may be able to work with people of different ideologies and also has a good "curriculum politicus". His son is also an advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico, Hon. Anibal Acevedo Vila.
